SPRINGFIELD, Mass.–The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in conjunction with The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. announced recently that two players competing at the NCAA, Division II level are among the finalists for the Bob Cousy Award presented by The Hartford, an honor presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate point guard. Sixteen Finalist were chosen from a pool of over sixty top candidates from NCAA institutions across the country. The Division II players are Jonny Reibel of Rollins and Luke Cooper of Alaska-Anchorage.

Once again, ESPNU has agreed to televise the all-star game as a live national broadcast, this time as part of a three-year agreement that will run during the same time period as the host city agreement.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The No. 24-ranked Truman Statemen’s basketball team lost its second game in succession Wednesday, January 18 falling to Missouri Western by a 69-49 tally.
The Bulldogs are now 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the MIAA while the Griffons improve to 11-6 and 2-4 in the conference.

HAYS, Kansas - Behind torrid second half shooting, No. 8-rated Fort Hays State sprinted away from a halftime tie to win its eighth straight contest, taking an 82-58 victory over Chadron State in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action Tuesday, January 17. Fort Hays converted 18 of 25 field goals (.720) in the second frame to outscore Chadron 50-26 after a 32-all tie at intermission.
