STILL TOP DOG: Kara Rutledge earned Heartland Conference Player of the Week for averaging 19 points and shooting 52 percent, as she led No. 1 Drury in a pair of wins over St. Mary's and Incarnate Word last week.

Rutledge helped the Lady Panthers extend their winning streak to 13 games and contributed seven rebounds, four assists and five steals in the two games. Rutledge ranks 17th in the nation with 3.5 steals per game.

Drury (22-1, 8-0) remains No. 1 in the national rankings as well as the Division II South Central Regional rankings.

The Lady Panthers' victory over Incarnate Word on February 6 was their 28th consecutive regular season conference win. The game, which the Lady Panthers won 78-66, also marked only the second time this season Drury has trailed at the half.

SPU LOOKING FOR NO. 20: No. 2 Seattle Pacific is looking to clinch its sixth straight 20-win season, and eighth in the past nine years. The Falcons are at the top of the Division II West Regional rankings and hope to extend their conference game-winning streak to 53 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action.

The Falcons are firing off 80.7 points per game, which ranks seventh in the nation, and are beating foes by a 22.7 scoring margin, which is sixth-best in the NCAA. The Falcons are also out-rebounding opponents by 9.9 grabs per game.

FOLLOW THE LEADER: Cal Poly Pomona continued to benefit from Candice Allen's hot hand as she led the Broncos to a 72-69 victory over Sonoma State on February 5.

Allen poured in 35 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Broncos (15-4, 10-2) won their seventh straight game and remained tied for first place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association standings.

Cal Poly Pomona ranks sixth in the nation with an 80.6 scoring average, which is boosted by Allen's Division II leading 30.3 points per game. The Broncos are fourth in the Division II West Regional rankings.

FRESHMAN SIOUX: North Dakota's Ashley Langen leads the North Central Conference and ranks fifth in the NCAA statistics in field goal percentage with a 60.7 clip. Langen is the only freshman in the top 15 in the NCAA rankings for field goal percentage.

The center from Kennedy, Minn., is No. 20 North Dakota's second-leading scorer with 16.7 points per game, and is fourth on the school's freshman all-time scoring list with 368 points.

The Fighting Sioux' head coach Gene Roebuck is approaching a milestone as he coaches the 300th North Central Conference game of his career. Roebuck, the winningest coach in Division II women's basketball, owns a 244-55 (.816) record against league foes in his career.

THE BEAR FACTS: Shaw head coach Jacques Curtis earned his 100th career victory with a 101-60 win over Virginia Union on February 1. He and the Lady Bears followed the milestone with two victories, and Curtis' career record now stands at 102-40 in five seasons at Shaw.

Most recently, Shaw crushed St. Paul's, 104-38, to win the Lady Bears' 48th consecutive Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest. Curtis has also guided the Lady Bears to the last two CIAA Championships.

Shaw (22-1, 12-0, 7-0), the nation's second-leading scoring team with 92.2 points per game, is ranked third in the national poll and No. 1 in the Division II South Atlantic Regional rankings.
