A pair of upsets shuffled the standings in the California Collegiate Athletics Association. In San Diego, unranked California-San Diego upended No. 15 and league co-leader Chico State 80-77.
Elsewhere, unranked California State-Bakersfield nipped Cal Poly Pomona 100-99 in overtime. The loss ended a seven-game winning streak for Pomona and dropped the Broncos into a second-place tie in the CCAA with Chico State, one game back of conference-leading California State-Dominguez Hills.
Two free throws by Gillian Lillich with four seconds remaining erased a 99-98 Pomona lead and gave the Roadrunners the victory. |
