Twenty-three of the 25 teams ranked in the current USA Today/ESPN/WBCA poll for NCAA, Division II women's basketball were in action Saturday, February 12, and seven of the 23 were beaten. Tops on the list of the defeated was No. 5 Lake Superior State, which fell 80-64 at Grand Valley State.
Others to lose were No. 13 Central Missouri State, which was topped by No. 8 Emporia State 64-54 at home in Warrensburg, Mo., No. 14 Western Washington (85-73 at Humboldt State), No. 18 Southern Connecticut State (57-38 at Pace), No. 21 Minnesota-Duluth (84-49 at No. 20 North Dakota), No. 22 Valdosta State (57-51 at West Georgia) and No. 23 American International (70-60 at St. Michael's). |
