The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner Marvin Vanover forfeited 17 wins for the Armstrong Atlantic State University women’s basketball team on Monday, February 21. The conference will also prohibit the team from participating in any post season play, including the upcoming conference tournament.

After an extensive investigation, it was determined that AASU has been playing an ineligible player. All games she participated in will be credited as losses by AASU and wins by their conference opponents.

AASU was 17-11 overall and 7-7 in the conference.  The team was ranked seventh in South Atlantic Region in the most recent regional rankings of NCAA, Division II Women's Basketball teams.  Two regular season games remain for AASU (February 23 at North Florida, February 26 at Columbus State).
