A pair of games featuring matchups of nationally-ranked teams were on the docket Wednesday, February 23.  In Topeka, Kansas, No. 3 Washburn topped No. 6 Emporia State 57-48.  In Waltham, Mass., No. 22 American International topped No. 15 Bentley 71-60 in overtime.

American International denied Bentley's bid to grab a share of the Northeast-10 Conference  regular season championship.  Bentley, which would have tied Merrimack and Southern Connecticut State for first with a victory, instead finished the regular season in third place.  American International finished in fourth place. Each will enjoy first-round byes when the conference playoffs get underway this weekend.
